Mulangyun integrated data management platform has built in three default protection policies, namely "core", "important" and "general". These three policies cannot be modified. If these three policies cannot meet our actual needs, it is strongly recommended to configure custom policies. Today, we will show you how to quickly create local protection policies.

First of all, select "Protection Policy Management"-"Local Policy" in the left menu bar to go to the local policy management page. Then click "plus sign" in the upper left corner, and the following policy configuration interface will appear:

The description of the parameters in the above page is as follows: parameter name, parameter description, backup name, 0-20 character limit, brief description of this policy, optional, 0-50 character limit task execution frequency, task execution interval, and minimum 6min backup (i.e. 0.1h) time period for policy execution. Setting the backup policy will only execute the first execution time in the set time period, and the first execution time of the policy will be turned off by default when the data is copied to the cloud in this range. Users can choose to do cold disaster backup on the cloud for more than a certain number of days (0-365 days) index directory is checked by default, and the directory is used for virtual machine file search after the backup is completed. Click create, save and exit the policy creation page, and the custom policy creation is complete.
