According to the latest report released by Counterpoint, global smartphone sales fell 14% in February from a year earlier.

One of the main reasons for the sharp decline is that, as Counterpoint points out, consumers in many markets have become more cautious in this challenging period.

In February, Samsung held the top spot with a 21.9% share of the global smartphone market (by sales). Apple and Huawei ranked second and third, respectively, with a global market share of 14.4% and 13.2%, respectively.
