1 check Vcenter and ESXI configuration 1.1 View the configuration of Vcenter
Log in to the Vcenter management console https://vcente_address/ui and click about in the upper right corner to see that the existing Vcenter version is 6.5.0.20000.
1.2 vcsa enable ssh
Access using https://vcenter_address:5480
Log in with the root username and password of the vcsa host, select Access, and click Edit in the upper right corner
Just check Enable SSH Login.
You can log in remotely using the root user and password of vcsa. The first line is the version number.
1.3. View ESXI configuration
Using https://ESXI_address, log in to the Host host and you can see that the host version is 6.5.0 Update 2
1.4. ESXI enables SSH
Method 1: open it on Vcenter
Click "Host"-> "configuration"-> "Security Policy"-> "Service", edit, find the ssh service, and start it.
Method 2: operate directly on the host screen. You can open SSH in the Troubleshooting tab through a monitor or a remote control tool, such as DELL's IDRAC.
2 upgrade Vcenter
Note: be sure to back up the vCenter before upgrading
1.1. The first stage
Unpack the installation package on a windows computer and open VMware-VCSA-all-6.7.0-10244745\ vcsa-ui-installer\ win32\ installer.exe
Click NEXT
After entering the domain name of the existing vcenter, click Connect to Source, and enter the administrative user name and password of the Vcenter, as well as the administrative user and password of the host where the Vcenter resides
Click YES
Enter the host or vCenter in which the upgraded vCenter is saved, and enter the account information of the host or vCenter, click NEXT, and click YES
Enter the hostname and password for the new vCenter
Select the size of the deployed vCenter, and choose it according to your needs.
Select the storage to be stored. Select datastore1 here.
Select the network and fill in the temporary IP address, gateway and DNS information of the new vCenter. Note that the selected network must match the IP information. If the vCenter uses FQDN, the DNS address here must be able to resolve the corresponding domain name.
To complete the setup information for the entire phase, click FINISH
When the prompt box is successfully, it indicates that the first phase deployment upgrade is complete
1.2. The second stage
Click CONTINUE to continue with the second phase, or you can open https://192.168.6.30:5480 to check the progress. This IP is a temporary IP we set up in the first phase.
Click upgrade
Enter root user and password
Click next
Enter the SSO information of the source vCenter and the host IP information, user and password of the source vCenter
Check before upgrade, and a prompt will pop up after the check is completed. Continue.
Select the last one, all the data
Click next
Click finish
Click OK
There is a prompt message after the upgrade is completed, click close
All three steps have been completed successfully, that is, the system upgrade has been completed. Click close.
Use https://vcenter_address to access vcenter
Click on the about in the upper right corner, you can see that the system version is 6.7.0.20000.
3 upgrade ESXI1.3. Upgrade ESXI6.5 to 6.7
Shut down all virtual machines, put the host in maintenance mode, place the installation CD in the CD drive, and restart
Select the first option to boot the system from the installation image
Press Enter to continue
Press F11 to continue
Select the hard drive with VMFS partition, and select the second option here
Press F1 to view specific disk information

If MISSING_DEPENDENCY_VIBS ERROR occurs during installation, it may be that the installation media does not match the original system. This upgrade media is VMware official 6.7u1. The system uses DELL custom 6.5u2. After replacing the installation package provided by DELL, install again, and there is no error message above.
Press F11 to upgrade
Press Enter to restart
After the restart, you can see that the server host version has been upgraded to 6.7, log in to the host, exit the host from maintenance mode, start the vCenter virtual machine, and delete the old vCenter after using it for a period of time.
4 upgrade VCSA6.7u1 to 6.7u1b4.1 upgrade using online repository
Open https://vcenter_address:5480, to click on the update, and you can see that the default is used in the default repository.

You can see that what can be selected is the default repository or a custom repository
After saving, you will check for updates. You can choose to download only or download and install. Here I choose download first. After the download is completed, there is an installation option. Click install.
