Sony phones are usually unpopular outside the company's home country, but Sony still maintains some unique hardware design (as unique as a piece of glass and metal plate anyway) and supports 3.5mm headphone jacks. Now, the upcoming Xperia phone has been leaked, it. It looks just like any other Sony phone.

The images, posted by famous technology whistleblower OnLeaks, show the same boxy design as all other Xperia smartphones in the past few years (which seems to be back in vogue, at least on Apple phones). The size of the device is 139.7 x 68.6mm x 9.1mm, which is quite close to the size of the iPhone SE 2022 announced earlier this week (138.4 x 67.3mm x 7.3mm).

Sony uses a 5.5-inch flat panel display on the screen and a waterdrop groove on the top of the camera. Sony's Ace phones are always cheap devices, so punch cameras may not be possible. It is not clear what the display resolution is, or whether the screen is LCD or OLED, but the existing Ace 2 has a 720x 1600 LCD screen.

The leaked rendering shows a variety of color options, including black and light blue. I'm definitely a blue fan, especially because it seems to surround the sides of the phone, not just the back panel.

There is no information available on when Sony will release the Ace 3, or what price it will cost when it arrives. Sony does not seem to sell any Ace devices outside the country, so unless the company changes its mind about the Ace 3, the phone will not be sold in most parts of the world.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV has also been leaked recently, which will be a future mid-range phone with a design similar to that of the Ace 3. Sony also began to promote Android 12 to Xperia 5 II.
