Before that, let's create a new dedicated account, do not use the default Administrator account, and form a good habit. For example, I set up an account called exchangeadmin here to manage mailboxes. And give the required permissions.

Fourth, select the recommended configuration or choose not to use the recommended configuration to customize the new environment, if you do not need to customize the project, use the recommended configuration by default, if you add a new mailbox server or have custom requirements, it is recommended to choose a custom setting.

The following option means "automatically install the Windows server roles and features needed to install Exchange Server," which we did in preparation, and it would be annoying to let him install it himself. It doesn't matter if you check it.

8. Check whether the required services and conditions are complete

The main thing is to review the status to determine if the organization and server role prerequisite checks have been successfully completed. If the operation does not complete successfully, you must resolve all reported errors before you can install Exchange 2019.

If there is no problem following the previous steps, check here and click Install. If an error is reported, please check the prerequisites of the previous configuration.

9. Start the installation by reading the note

After a long wait, the installation is complete. If you want to complete the installation, please restart your computer.

All right, the installation of Exchange 2019 is over, so let's simply configure and optimize the mailbox.

When the installation is complete, open the login page and remember that the login name is in the format of domain\ user name.

Select the server-virtual directory, and double-click the entry below to modify the internal and external URL.

Change the machine name before the address to "mail", and then the virtual directory does the same.

16. Modify the database name. Exchange 2019 can directly modify the default database name, which is quite convenient. The default database name is long and difficult to remember, double-click and then modify the database name.
