As an automobile company based on energy technology, BYD has been deeply cultivated in the field of new energy vehicles for a long time, which is more thorough than YD's research on cars, especially new energy vehicles, and the two companies have their own advantages and disadvantages. Huawei wants more than just Kirin to get on the bus.
According to Huawei's plan, Huawei is positioned to provide services to new energy vehicles, not traditional cars, for a reason. In short, Kirin "getting on the bus" is only one aspect of Huawei's layout in the automotive sector, and Huawei's goal is to break into the entire auto industry chain.
Huawei still needs a good helper for the deep layout of smart cars.
At the Fifth International Automotive key Technology Forum held in 2019, Xu Zhijun, the rotating chairman of Huawei, said that Huawei's smart energy business includes mPower multi-form electric drive, charging and battery management systems, which is regarded as the foundation of Huawei's smart car business because new energy vehicles are inseparable from power management.
