Experimental environment:

1. Server model Lenovo System X3850 X6

2. Four 300g SAS hard drives

Experimental purpose:

Configure RAID 5 to build the company's important file sharing server.

Note: this tutorial four hard drives all do RAID 5, if there is a hard disk damage timely replacement of data recovery is no problem, if there are two or more hard drives damaged, catastrophic data damage will occur, it is recommended that there is a reliable external backup server can all do RAID 5.

1. Power on-press F1 key to enter BIOS-select System Settings

2. Select Storage

3. Select array cards

4. Select Main Menu

5. Select Virtual Drive Management to check whether RAID is configured.

6. Show that no RAID is configured

7. Select Configuration Management

8. Select Create Virtual Dirve

9. Select Select RAID Level-Select RAID 5

10. Select Select Drives From

11. Select Select Drives

12. Select four hard drives-Select Apply Changes

13. Select OK

14. Select Save Configuration

15. Select YES

16. Select OK

17. Select Virtual Drive Management

18. Select the RAID 5 that has been created

19. Select Operation-Select Fast Initiallzation (Quick initialization)

20. Select Go (execute)

21. Select Yes
