Google removed nearly 600 apps from its Play Store, according to a blog post on Thursday. According to the company, the developers of the software violated the company's destructive advertising policy and banned the insertion of ads. Developers are also banned from using Google's AdMob and Ad Manager platforms.

Android manufacturers define destructive advertising as "ads presented to users in unexpected ways, including those that damage or interfere with the usability of device functions". For example, someone calls another person and an app ad pops up. Google says it has found such applications by developing a method based on machine learning.
