2. Boot and start.

Chkconfig ntpd on

3. Configuration.

Vim / etc/ntp.conf

Modify restrict default kod nomodify notrap nopeer noquery

Become restrict default nomodify notrap

Add the following line, where 192.168.0.0 netmask is the ip segment that allows connections to this server

Restrict 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0 nomodify notrap

Save exit

4. Restart the service.

/ etc/init.d/ntpd restart

5. Firewall clearance.

Vim / etc/sysconfig/iptables

-An INPUT-s 192.168.0.0Mab 16-j ACCEPT
