In the process of installing FOG Server, I kept failing, so I tried to build a virtual machine on the cloud, and the installation was very smooth. I thought it was very strange, so I continued to try and found that the error occurred in this place all the time.

This error pops up a long time later:

ERROR installing Fog, Could Not download binaries properly

After online inquiry, it turned out that this file could not be downloaded:

Https://fogproject.org/binaries1.5.7.zip

This file has 146MB, download from the United States is very fast, but downloaded from the Chinese network, only downloaded 110KB after the offline, simply unable to download, multi-party attempts to no avail. Then, in a flash, I thought of downloading from an American server and then copy to the local server, thus ignoring the download process. After several tests, it finally succeeded. The following is the detailed process.

Install Ubuntu Server and download fog project

Install GIT

Sudo-I

Apt-get-y install git

Getting FOG

Sudo-I

Cd / root

Git clone https://github.com/FOGProject/fogproject.git

Then press Ubuntu Desktop, which is to facilitate the two files of copy on USB disk. At the same time, you can open the FOG Server page on this machine later.

Sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

Cd / root

Cd / fodproject

Mkdir tmp

Then start installing FOG Server

Running the installer

Sudo-I

Cd / root/fogproject/bin

. / installfog.sh

If you wanted the installer to 'just go' and use all defaults, use this command:

. / installfog.sh-y
