I. Introduction:

FTP is short for File Transfer Protocol, and remote computers can upload and download programs or files via FTP, regardless of the operating system.

II. Configuration:

1. Start FTP service:

Control Panel--> Programs--> Turn Windows features on or off: check FTP server under Internet Information Services

2. Configure FTP site:

① Right click on My Computer--> Administration--> Services and Applications-->Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager:

② Select the website under the right link bar (QH item in the figure), right-click and select Add FTP Site:

③ Add FTP site interface: fill in FTP site name, optional. Physical path, select the path you want as FTP directory.

④ Binding and SSL setting interface: fill in IP address, port 21, if the port is occupied, you can fill in another one. SSL option allowed.

④ Authentication and authorization information interface: check Basic. Authorization: Allow access to all users. Permission: read == download, write == upload. Check as needed.

④ Right click on My Computer--> Manage--> System Tools--> Local Users and Groups--> Right click on User--> New User:

Enter username, full name, description and password. Check that password never expires.

III. VISITS:

Open your browser and enter ftp://IP: port number to enter FTP!
