I. the running status of online

Offline:online does not have a running mode, and shared memory has not been allocated at this time.

The initialization:online system initializes and shifts from offline mode to the intermediate mode of quiescent mode.

The quiescent:oninit process has been started, the shared memory has been allocated, but the system does not allow user access, and only the system administrator can access the system.

Normal mode of the on-line:online system.

Shutdown: the system is running and the current user continues to access the database, but new users are not allowed to access it.

Recovery: the intermediate mode in which the system recovers quickly or from tape. Rapid recovery occurs during the transition of the system from off-line to quiescent mode.

two。 View oninit processes

Onstat-g glo can display the process number, VP class, user CPU and system CPU of each oninit process.

three。 State change

3.1. You can change the state through the mode menu

Onmonitor--mode

Startup:offline--on-line

On-line:quiescent--on-lien

Graceful-shutdown:on-line--quiescent

Immediate-shutdown:on-line--quiescent

Take--offline:quiescent-off-line

3.2. You can change the running state through the oninit command

Oninit:off-line--on-line

Oninit-s:off-line--quiescent

Oninit-I: initialize the root dbspace of the online system

Oninit-p: no temporary table search and cleanup is performed during shared memory initialization.

Oninit-y: answer yes to all prompts.

3.3. Change the running state through the onmode command

Onmode-k: quiescent-off-line

Onmode-m:quiescent-on-line

Onmode-s:graceful-shutdown

Onmode-u:immediate-shutdown
