Be careful

If it is not necessary, upgrade by reinstalling the system for the following reasons:

Not all systems can be successfully upgraded from 6 to 7. The less software installed, the more likely the upgrade will be successful.

Only 6.5 and above systems are supported to upgrade to no more than 7.2 systems

Upgrading takes no less time than reinstalling, and in most cases it takes longer and more effort

Dealing with various dependencies after the upgrade is completed is a very big problem.

I upgraded two computers on the same day, one successful and the other failed. The successful computer spent an extra day dealing with various dependencies and problems, and the failed computer installed the system and necessary software for half an hour. Therefore, if it is not necessary, it is recommended to reinstall the system directly after backing up the data.

Operation

To upgrade from 6 to 7 by software, please refer to the following steps:

Upgrade the current system to the latest version: yum update-y

Install the old version of openscap: yum remove-y openscap & & yum install-y http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/upg/x86_64/Packages/openscap-1.0.8-1.0.1.el6.centos.x86_64.rpm

Add the upgradetoolsource:
