The Vivo Z5 is launched as the latest Z-series smartphone. The company unveiled the phone at an event, which appears to be an iterative upgrade to the previously launched Z5x smartphone. The Z5 is a mid-range smartphone with Snapdragon 712 chipset as the core. The Vivo Z5 also has a triple rear camera with Super AMOLED panel, with an exposed slot, a fingerprint scanner, a solid-state battery and a 480000 pixel master sensor. There is also Vivo's multi-turbine mode, which can improve the overall performance of the phone.

The Vivo Z5, based on 6GB memory and 64GB storage mode, sells for 1598 yuan (16000 rupees) in China. On the other hand, the 6GB 128GB and 8GB 128GB versions will cost 1898 yuan (about 19000 rupees) and 2298 yuan (23000 rupees), respectively. There are auroral illusion (gradient purple), holographic illusion (gradient light blue) and bamboo night view and other colors to choose from. There is currently no news released by Vivo Z5.

The Vivo Z5 has a 6.38in Super AMOLED display, full HD resolution and a small gap in the selfie camera, which the company likes to call Halo notch. At the heart of the phone is the 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 mobile platform, which was launched earlier this year, including eight Kryo 360cores and adrenaline 616 GPU. Mobile phone manufacturers offer three memory and user-scalable storage configurations: 6GB 64GB, 6GB 128GB and 8GB 128GB. Available right out of the box, the phone runs FunTouchOS 9.1 based on Android 9.

In the camera part, the Vivo Z5 uses three cameras, including a 480000-pixel fhand 1.79 main sensor, a 8000-pixel auxiliary shooter and a 2000-pixel third capture. The front camera can take 32 million pixel selfies and video calls. The whole set runs up to 4500 mAh and supports 22.5 watts of fast charging. Other features include an optical scanner under the monitor for biometric and facial recognition support. The phone is equipped with a Jovi digital assistant, a USB Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm audio Jack.
