Huawei is determined to prove that any concerns or accusations about the security of network equipment are completely false. The first step in addressing global concerns about these safety issues is to upgrade laboratory facilities and add more qualified personnel.

At a press conference ahead of two international press conferences, the Chinese company said it plans to invest about $2 billion over the next five years, focusing on cyber security. According to Reuters, Huawei's main concern is that the current ban is aimed at excluding it from the telecom network equipment market.

In the past few months, Huawei has made headlines because the company has been banned and even arrested by executives. For now, the United States appears to be Huawei's biggest enemy because the government is telling its allies to give up the Chinese company's network equipment.

It has even been suggested that the US government will be in a position to support the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint unless the operator's parent companies, Deutsche Telekom and Softbank Corp., stop using Huawei equipment.

It remains to be seen whether the United States and its allies will change their minds after Huawei is suspected of strengthening cyber security.
