1. Download SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 installation image file sles-10-x86-cd1.iso~~cd4.iso (a total of 4 installation image files).

Name the unzipped directory grub and copy it to the c:\ directory. Then copy c:\ grub\ grldr to the root directory of the c disk. Edit the boot.ini file and add c:\ grldr= "start grub" at the end of the file

2. Extract the linux and initrd files from SLES-10-x86-CD1.iso on the ftp server and copy them to the client's c:\ directory.

Note: the file is located in the image file under boot/i386/loader/.

Third, boot installation

1. After restarting the client, select "start grub" in the interface selected by the startup system.

2. Select commandline, and the grub > prompt appears.

3. Enter at the grub > prompt

Grub > find / linux

The hdx,y is the partition in which your linux installation is located. Note that XBI y is two numbers and will be replaced.

Next

Grub > kernel (hdx,y) / linux install= ftp://192.168.1.10/sles-10-x86-cd1.iso

Show [linux-bzImage...]

Grub > initrd (hdx,y) / initrd

Show [linux-initrd...]

Grub > boot
