Shulou(Shulou.com)05/31 Report--

Editor to share with you how to manage the deployment of SCCM, I believe that most people do not know much about it, so share this article for your reference, I hope you can learn a lot after reading this article, let's go to understand it!

Deployment

Deployment is the concept of linking packages, applications, software updates, task sequences, etc., to a collection (Collection). Members of the collection will evaluate their status and perform actions if necessary according to the elements defined in the deployment. Deployment is equivalent to Advertisements in SCCM 2007, and deployment is stateful.

Main elements

The collection mainly contains the following elements

Deployment content

Application program

Bag

Software update

Task sequence (Task Sequence)

Configuration baseline (Configuration Baseline)

Other

Set

Specifies the collection to which the deployment is linked, and when the collection members receive this deployment strategy, they will dynamically evaluate their situation based on the definition of the deployment

Distribution point (Distribution Point)

The distribution point is used to store file-based content in the deployment, such as application source files, operating system images, system updates, etc. The client will download the content locally through the distribution point or run it based on a shared location on the distribution point

Deploy Action (Action)

Install (install)

Uninstall (uninstall): for applications only

Purpose of deployment (Purpose)

Required (Required): indicates that the deployment can be executed manually before the deadline arrives, and the ConfigMgr will be forced to run after the deadline is reached

Available (Available): indicates that there is no deadline for this deployment, and running this deployment can only be triggered manually by the user

Deployment priorities for "required" deployment purposes will be higher than "available"

Approval (Approval)

For deployment to a set of users, the purpose of deployment is "available" deployment. You can apply through the user and wait for the administrator to match in the SCCM Console before installing.

Schedule (Schedule)

When available: defines when this deployment is available for the client, until then, the client does not display this deployment information

When to expire: (package, update, task sequence only) defines when this deployment expires for the client, and the client will ignore the expired deployment

Assignment schedule (Assignment Schedule): (for packages, updates, task sequences only) if it is a required deployment, specify the point in time at which the deployment is enforced

Rerun behavior (Rerun behavior): (for packages and task sequences only) if the client has ever run a package or task sequence with the same ID, define the client's running behavior after the deployment of the package and task sequence containing the same content is redistributed to the client

Installation deadline: (for applications) if it is a required deployment, set a point in time for the application deployment to be enforced

User experience (User Experience)

Allow users to run assignments independently: (for packages, updates, task sequences only) indicates that the user can see and manually trigger the execution action in the software center

Behavior after reaching the assigned time: after the client reaches the mandatory run time, if the client is not in the maintenance window, whether it will be allowed

Install software: allow clients to install software in a non-maintenance window

System restart: decide whether to restart the client device based on the exit code after the software installation

User Notification (User Notifications)

For applications only

How to notify the user on the client side when the device receives the deployment

Display all information in the software center

Display in the software center, notify only the computer restart notification

Hidden in the software center, does not display any notification information
