VCloud Automation Center delivered by VMware (hereinafter referred to as vCAC) is a business-oriented infrastructure, application, and service management software that can manage a variety of cloud infrastructures, including VMware virtualization platform, OpenStack cloud computing platform, and Amazon AWS public cloud platform. And vCAC integrates the concept of DevOps, which can deploy applications of cluster architecture very quickly, and can easily upgrade and manage applications. Policy-driven automation can also seamlessly scale out application clusters to cope with growing business requests and workloads. At the same time, vCAC also provides a self-service web management platform, role-based authentication system can give different teams different levels of application management services, so as to achieve the goal of IT as a service [2]. For example, engineering teams use the vCAC management platform to quickly deploy development and test environments, and these environments can be automatically recycled based on policies, freeing up infrastructure resources. Run IT like a business

Earlier I talked about vCAC-based IT as a service, where business units can deploy infrastructure, applications and services independently according to their own needs, which undoubtedly gives business units more flexibility and autonomy to use data center resources. At the same time, it also gives the IT department a greater challenge to control the cost and quality of IT services, for example, whether the business department can obtain sufficient resources to support its own business needs, whether the engineering department will overutilize the resources of the data center, and how the IT department can record the usage of infrastructure, applications and services, generate cost bills, and deduct the corresponding costs from the business department and the engineering department. In addition, today's successful CIO is not only a technical expert, but also a strategic partner of the core business. They not only provide the infrastructure to support business operations, but also act as private and public cloud service agents to help enterprises choose the most economical and appropriate technologies and services.
