Busy working every day, has not been upgraded to the anniversary update version, also did not wait to notify me of the system update. After the Windows 10 MVP meeting, I decided to upgrade manually. Two reasons:

Windows 10 upgrade is a bit different than before. We all know that Windows will save many different versions of files. If you don't believe me, just look at the WinSxS directory and the Drivers directory. Before you know it, the hard drive runs out of space. The upgrade will put previously unused files into the Windows.Old directory, giving you a new, relatively clean system while keeping your old apps.

2. After Windows upgrade, the original files are retained, and you can revert to the previous version when you need it, roughly without any worries.

Click Update Now to download a Windows 10 Upgrade application and start updating the system.

As before, the updater downloads files needed for the upgrade in the background, such as disk images to temporary folders. One small detail is that the image files that are updated online are not WIM files as we know them in ISO, but mirror files with the suffix ESD.

When all the files are ready, the upgrade process begins. Upgrade requires more than 20 gigabytes of free disk space. Patch first, then install all the way.

I have Array ××× client on my book, the driver is no longer compatible with Windows 10, so it needs to be manually uninstalled during installation.

After the reboot, the system reached the annual update version, plus the latest patch, the system version is 1607 (14393.82).
