Translation mode is already used on the phone, and Google Assistant can translate your conversation in real time. Google says it will support 44 languages, which can be called by saying "Hey, Google, help me speak Thai" or "Hey, Google, be my German translator".

After entering translation mode, the assistant will translate your voice and read it aloud. On the phone screen, the assistant can provide an intelligent reply so that you can reply without talking, thus speeding up the conversation.

Previously, interpreter mode was only available on Google home smart speakers and monitors. Starting today, it will be promoted in iOS and Android Google Assistant smartphone apps.
