The Lowest: RM

rm After deleting large files, df-lh check will find that the disk is still occupied.

This is because rm deletes files, files are generally not immediately written to disk, that is, space is not immediately freed.

Solution:

1. Restart the server (preferably not);

2. losf |grep deleted ; View deleted processes

The process is not closed, so disk space will not be released, kill-9 PID is required, and space will be released after killing the process.

II. Input redirection:

The following methods are all empty file contents, but do not delete files

1. echo >/path/to/somefile

2. cat /dev/null > /path/to/somefile

3. >/path/to/somefile

4 : >/path/to/somefile
