Over the past few weeks, Google has brought a lot of updates to Gmail. In the most recent version of Android, we found that it already supports custom swiping left or right gestures. Previously, no matter how much you swiped in your inbox, it would trigger an archive operation. Although there is a certain practicality, it lacks a little personalization. For example, under appropriate circumstances, it is also possible to empty your inbox with a swipe gesture. Unfortunately, for years, the Gmail app's swipe gestures have been pretty rigid.

The good news is that with a recent update, Gmail for Android users have some customizable swipe gestures, increasing its usefulness.

To change gesture operation, you can go to "Settings-> General-> Slide Operation":

Go to Settings Options Custom swipe left and right to select among save, delete, mark as read/unread, move, and the recently added snooze an email.

It should be noted that this change is currently only for the Android version of the Gmail app, and the iOS version has not yet been introduced.
