Beta testing is when typical end users in all aspects of a user organization actually use beta versions in their daily work and ask users to report anomalies and comment critically. Difference: The main difference between the two is the different test sites. Alpha testing refers to inviting users to the developer's site for testing, while beta testing refers to testing at one or more user sites. Alpha testing environment is controlled by the developer, the number of users is relatively small, and the time is relatively concentrated. Beta testing environment is not controlled by the developer, no one knows how users torture the software, the number of users is relatively large, the time is not concentrated. Alpha testing usually precedes beta testing. General purpose software products require large-scale beta testing, and the test cycle is relatively long.
