Shulou(Shulou.com)05/31 Report--
Google users will soon be forced to adopt two-factor authentication (2FA). In a statement to PC World on World password Day, Mark Risher, Google's director of identity and user security product management, said 2FA would replace passwords. He believes that passwords are easy to steal and regards them as the "biggest threat" to network security. Risher hopes that the "password has passed" in the future.
Risher added that if the user's account is configured correctly, Google will start automatically registering users in 2FA. When 2FA is enabled, users must confirm login on a separate device through their authenticator application.
If you have not already enabled 2FA for your Google account or other online account, it is strongly recommended that you enable it now. Read our article to find out why we should do this and, if possible, not to use 2FA via SMS.
