Lesson learnt:

Back up before you change, copy the old comments and add new ones.

The story is like this, from the Internet to pull down a regular e-mail shell, using here document to write the text. The new feature is to add a mailing list to cc. I didn't expect that the car turned over with such a small change. You'll have to pay it back sooner or later. The original script looks like this (it should be something like this, and if I remember, I would have rolled back.
