Hello everyone, Lin Fei to answer the above questions, rechargeable battery charging time, rechargeable battery charging time many people do not know, now let's take a look!
Most of the batteries in mobile phones are lithium batteries, which are not small and safe, so they are very suitable for mobile phones. When buying a new mobile phone or a new mobile phone battery, many people have heard that it is necessary to have enough power for a long time, so that the phone will not consume power too fast and the phone can be used for a long time. But how long should the lithium battery be charged for the first time? Many people want to have a certain understanding of the specific charging time and do not want the insufficient charging time of their mobile phone lithium battery to affect their future use.
First charge time of lithium battery
The capacity of the battery is expressed in mAh (milliampere hours). The discharge rate of how many milliamperes an hour can discharge. The battery of 500mAh can discharge for 1 hour at the discharge rate of 1500 mA and 3 hours at the discharge rate of 500mA (500mA).
Misunderstanding of the first charge of Lithium Battery
Myth 1: the first time to charge, you need to activate the cell phone battery?
First of all, there is something wrong with the sentence itself. Imagine that the mobile phone and mobile power you bought have not been activated yet. Then why do all these you bought have electricity? That's because the test has been activated before it leaves the factory. So it doesn't need to be activated.
In fact, the saying that "the first three charges must be fully charged for 12 hours" is obviously a continuation of early nickel batteries (such as Ni-CD, Ni-MH).
Modern industrial mobile phones have basically turned to lithium batteries, which are completely different in nature from nickel batteries. So just charge it normally and pull it out.
Early Ni-CD rechargeable batteries and Ni-MH rechargeable batteries produced a phenomenon called "memory effect". If the battery is charged in the state of incomplete discharge, the battery will be overcharged, resulting in the growth of crystals on the electrode plate for a long time, hindering the contact between the electrolyte and the electrode plate, resulting in a drop in battery voltage and making users feel that the battery is running out.
Myth 2: does the battery need to be recharged after it is used up? Overcharging can cause the battery to explode?
Lithium-ion battery has high energy density and high voltage (the voltage produced by a single lithium-ion battery unit can reach 4.2 V, while that of ordinary nickel-based rechargeable battery is 1.2 V). Compared with the low-voltage battery, the redox reaction of the electrode of lithium-ion battery is very fierce during the charging process, so the use conditions of lithium-ion battery must be strictly limited. Overcharging, overdischarge, short circuit, high temperature, etc. It can cause battery damage, even fire and explosion. However, in practical use, lithium-ion batteries are encapsulated in a battery board together with a set of safety protection circuits and various safety devices. These safety designs can ensure that the battery will automatically cut off the circuit in the case of overcharge, overdischarge and short circuit; the excessive internal pressure of the battery will also trigger the decompression of the exhaust device; if the battery temperature is too high, it will trigger the hot melt protection device to prevent the movement of lithium ion and stop the electrochemical reaction of the battery. Therefore, as long as the phone is not filled with unreliable fake batteries and the phone is fully charged and unplugged in time, the battery will not explode.
Myth 3: can batteries prolong battery life by reducing the number of charges?
Manufacturers of digital devices will mark that they can be recharged up to hundreds of times. In fact, what is detected here is the environment of deep discharge, that is, the battery is fully charged after the battery is exhausted, so as to cycle. Continuous deep discharge has an effect on the battery.
However, our daily charging can only be regarded as a shallow discharge. If the battery is not used up, it will continue to charge. This method is better than deep discharge. For batteries, the life of shallow discharge batteries is longer than that of deep discharge batteries.
In addition, if the battery is not used for a long time, keep the capacity at about 70% as far as possible, which is beneficial to the maintenance of the battery and reduce the damage to the battery; the results show that the capacity will be obviously lost when lithium ion is stored in the state of being fully charged for a long time. Similarly, the higher the temperature, the faster the capacity loss of the lithium-ion battery, and the loss is irreversible, that is, the capacity of the battery will be permanently reduced.
The specific first charge time of lithium battery can be determined according to the actual battery capacity. Many people charge lithium batteries for eight or nine hours for the first time. It doesn't have to take that long. Long-term charging of lithium batteries does not help the durability of mobile phones. At present, most mobile phones are smart phones with large screens and fast power consumption. Even high-capacity lithium batteries need to be recharged once a day if they are used for a long time. People who consume electricity quickly can prepare portable battery or spare batteries.
