Automatic discovery and automatic registration:

1. Demo environment:

2. All CentOS nodes perform the following operations:

(1) configure hostname

(2) configure hosts file:

# vim / etc/hosts

192.168.0.120 zabbix-server

192.168.0.121 node-121

192.168.0.122 node-122

(3) Zabbix Agent is running normally.

3. Restore the configuration before Zabbix Proxy and delete all nodes except zabbix-server in Zabbix Web:

4. Configure automatic discovery:

(1) define discovery rules:

Configuration-- > Discovery-- > Local network-- > Update

Note: the default value of "Update interval" is 1h, it is adjusted to 30s during testing, and multiple IP can be separated by commas.

(2) View the found host:

Monitoring-- > Discovery

(3) define actions:

Configuration-- > Actions-- > Discovery-- > Auto discovery. Linux servers. -> Update

(4) View the added hosts:

Configuration-- > Hosts

(5) View the latest monitoring data of node-121 nodes:

(6) View the latest monitoring data of node-122 nodes:

5. Configure automatic registration:

(1) restore the configuration before automatic discovery, and delete all nodes in the Zabbix Web except zabbix-server:

(2) the node-121 and node-122 nodes modify the zabbix_agentd.conf configuration file respectively:

# vim / etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf

Node-121 node:

Node-122 node:

(3) node-121 and node-122 nodes restart Zabbix Agent:# systemctl restart zabbix-agent respectively

(4) define actions:

Configuration-- > Actions-- > Auto registration-- > Create action-- > Add

(5) View the added hosts:

Configuration-- > Hosts

(6) View the latest monitoring data of node-121 nodes:

(7) View the latest monitoring data of node-122 nodes:

Note: auto-registration is recommended, configuration is simpler than automatic discovery, and the pressure on Zabbix Server is low.
