JSF1.1, 1.2 are JSF standards, definitions such as interface, specification (JSF is interface-oriented programming), must be implemented in order to be used by us, and the implementation includes JSF RI (Reference Implementation), as well as the implementation of myfaces core1.1.4. JSF RI is SUN's implementation of JSF, which is relatively compatible and stable (because 1.1has not been updated for a long time and has been switched to 1.2), while myfaces updates are relatively fast and have a little more functions. JSF RI1.1 is recommended for beginners. 1.2requires new servlet2.5/jsp2.1 and server support, which is not stable yet.

Myfaces, it is a big project, there are several sub-projects below, namely myfaces core, sandbox, tabago,tomahawk (strange name, hard to say, I call it TOM for short), and a new ADF Faces (related to oracle adf, which should be compatible with the integration of adf functions). Tabago,tom is a component library, tabago is more fun to support skinning, there are some components that support ajax, TOM is a rich library of enhanced components, about 30, such as TREE, TAB and so on. Sandbox is for testing.

Oracle ADF is a large component library made by oracle for jsf. It used to be charged, but now it is open source. I haven't used it. I don't know.

Ajax4jsf is a tag library that provides AJAX support for jsf. Using the tags it provides, you can easily add the function of AJAX to the original JSF program without writing any Javascript.

Facelets this is a very exciting framework, with this framework to bring out the components of JSF, through the template way to combine into the components we need, and can not use such a tag library, and use components in this way, so that we can easily use UI visualization tools to develop our WEB procedures.
