Experimental purpose:

1. Simply describe the spanning tree.

2. Observe which switch belongs to the root bridge.

3. Observe the switch that is not the root bridge, which port is "blocked".

4. Set the server port to spanning-tree protfast.

5. Set Switch2 as the root bridge; modify the priority of the spanning tree, the fewer the number, the higher the priority.

Procedure:

1. Simply describe the spanning tree.

A: the default CISCO switch enables spanning Tree Protocol and automatically calculates the root bridge, which port should be disabled, and so on.

2. Observe which switch belongs to the root bridge.

3. Observe the switch that is not the root bridge, which port is "blocked".

4. Set the fa0/4 of the server to spanning-tree protfast.
