Generally, Linux is installed in/etc/my.cnf ,window. By default, you may follow the above path or not find it. On window, you can log in to mysql and use show variables like '%data%' to find the data storage path first. Generally, my.ini is at the upper level of the data file.

Under win is my.ini, usually in the root directory of the installation directory.

Methods on Windows 7 computers.

1) Find MySQL Notifier from Taskbar, right-click and select SQL Editor to open

2) You can see that MySQL Workbench is opened, select Options File from the left sidebar Navigator; if there is no Navigator on the left, select the option to display the left sidebar in the upper right corner.

3) In the lower part of Workbench, you can see the location of Configuration File, which is the path of my.ini.

Additional information:

Use mysql --help to view the MYSQL corresponding configuration file my.cnf search order, windows and linux are the command to view; linux can use mysql --help| grep my.cnf Filter View.
