Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

This article mainly introduces "how to connect the projector with CentOS 7". In the daily operation, I believe many people have doubts about how to connect the projector with CentOS 7. The editor consulted all kinds of materials and sorted out simple and easy-to-use operation methods. I hope it will be helpful to answer the doubts about "how to connect the projector with CentOS 7". Next, please follow the editor to study!

I use an HP laptop with a CentOS 7 graphical interface as a desktop. Recently, I encountered a problem when I tried to connect the projector. The laptop has a HDMI interface. I bought a HDMI---- > VGA adapter, and after connecting to my laptop, the screen kept flashing and couldn't be set up. After unplugging the HDMI cable, run the following command:

# xrandr# xrandr-output HDMI-0-off

Enter the first command to view the name and mode of the current display device. The output of my computer is as follows:

Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920x1080, maximum 32767 x 32767HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 193mm 1920x1080 60.01 344mm + 40.00 DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

The DP-0 is the main display device, and the connected resolution is 1920x1080.

HDMI-0 is the first HDMI output interface and is not connected.

Once you know their names, you can first disable the output of signals to HDMI. Use the following command:

# xrandr-output HDMI-0-off

If you connect the HDMI cable, the screen will no longer flash. To view the projector settings by selecting the menu, click Applications in the upper left corner of the screen. The selection process is as follows:

Applications-- > System Tools-- > Devices-- > Display

You will see the following interface:

You can see that there are three display modes:

1. Join Displays, equivalent to the "screen extension" of Windows.

2. Mirror, which is equivalent to "screen copy" of Windows

3. Single Display, using a single display, can be a computer screen or just a projector.

Unfortunately, I did not succeed in using the above three models. Moreover, only the projection can display, and nothing can be seen on the computer screen. Even if you use xrandr-s 1028x768 to set the display resolution of your computer screen to 1024x768. Originally, there were many options for resolution, but now there is only one 1920x1080. After connecting the projector, run the command to query the display modes supported by the projector, as follows:

# xrandr-qScreen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080 Maximum 32767 x 32767HDMI-0 connected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1024x768 60.00 + 1920x1080 60.00 59.94 1440x900 59.89 1360x768 60.02 1280x1024 60.02 1280x960 60.00 1280x800 59.81 1280x720 59.94 720x480 59.94 59.94 DP-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 193mm 1920x1080 60.01 DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

It seems to be okay. Try the command line again:

# xrandr-output HDMI-0-same-as DP-0-auto# xrandr-output HDMI-0

Okay. It's ready for projection. You can choose between three modes.

In addition, the detailed setting operation can be viewed by man xrandr. How did this command get that name? It turns out that it comes from the abbreviation of the X Resize ADN Rotate extension. Their paper in 2001 proved this point. Link: http://static.usenix.org/publications/library/proceedings/usenix01/freenix01/gettys.html
