The reason for upgrading the OGG version is that Cloud Control (12c OEM) only supports versions above 11.2.1.0.10 when monitoring OGG, while 11.2.1.0.1 we are currently using is not supported. Cloud Control cannot scan Jagent. The following are the steps and notes for this upgrade. Stop all processes on the source and destination side GGSCI > lag * GGSCI > stop ex1 GGSCI > stop dp1 GGSCI > stop jagent GGSCI > stop mgr GGSCI > lag * GGSCI > stop rep1 GGSCI > stop jagent GGSCI > stop mgr 2. Check to see if there are any ogg-related processes, and kill $ps-ef | grep ogg $ps-ef | grep ggs Note: the ggsci process sometimes appears in unexpected places. Although the ogg process has stopped, the remaining ggsci will still affect the upgrade. When you overwrite a new version of the software, you will be prompted that ggsci is still running and the file cannot be updated. 3. Back up the ogg software directory, back up the Config.properties file $cd / u03 $tar-cvf ogg.tar ogg $cp / u03/ogg/cfg/Config.properties / u03 in the cfg directory under the ogg directory. Note: tar checked to see if the ggserr.log was too large. When we upgraded, we encountered an exaggerated figure of 50 gigabytes! A 48G MGR.rpt file was also encountered. You can mv to another place, or $> ggserr.log to empty the file. 4. Overwrite the new version of the software, restore Config.properties and decompress the new version of the software p18377868_1121020_AIX64-5L.zip to generate a ggs_AIX_ppc_ora10.2_64bit.tar. Copy the tar package to the ogg directory and unpack $cd / u03/ogg $tar-xvf ggs_AIX_ppc_ora10.2_64bit.tar $cp / u03/Config.properties / u03/ogg/cfg/ directly to observe the screen output. Restart the process 5. 5 after confirming the success of the overwrite. Restart all ogg processes source GGSCI > start mgr target GGSCI > start mgr source GGSCI > start ex1 GGSCI > start dp1 GGSCI > start jagent target GGSCI > start rep1 GGSCI > stop jagent on the source side and destination side.
