Oracle Base Directory:

The highest directory where the oracle software is installed.

Oracle Inventory Directory:

Location: $ORACLE_BASE/../oraInvenory

If the $ORACLE_BASE directory or a recognized OFA directory is not found, Oracle Inventory Directory will create an oraInventory under the oracle user home directory, such as / home/oracle/oraInventory for Linux.

Oracle Home Directory:

Store oracle software

Directory location: $ORACLE_HOME/product//

Oracle Network Files Directory:

Store network configuration files. Some tools use the TNS_ADMIN parameter to specify the location of the network profile.

$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin

Automatic Diagnostic Repository:

Set through the parameter ADR_HOME.

$ORACLE_BASE/diag/rdbms/lower (db_unqiue_name) / install_name.

You can find ADR home using the following statement

Select value from v$diag_info where name='ADR Home' .
