The answer is also no, but with screen, it is different.

Screen can simulate multiple windows on a physical terminal. Most importantly, you can hang these windows. In this way, it is possible to close the window that is executing the program.

Create a new window

1. Type the command screen.

This creates a new window that can be used like a normal terminal. You can execute the exit command if you need to exit this window. Windows can be nested, and if it is a multi-tier window, it will return to the previous level after exiting.

two。 Enter the command screen vim

This will allow you to run vim with a new window.

Suspend and restore window

Type Cmura d (Ctrl + a) in the current screen window, and then press the d key to suspend the current window, but the program that opens in this window continues to execute.

Enter the command screen-ls to view the suspended window:

[root@Nginx domain] # screen-ls

There is a screen on:

22496.pts-0.Nginx (Detached)

1 Socket in / var/run/screen/S-root.

Recovery window: screen-r 22496

Install screen:

Yum install screen
