DB-Engines database popularity rankings released data for May, ranking the top 20 as follows:

The top six remain unchanged for thousands of years, namely: Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and IBM Db2. PostgreSQL is still growing, but its scores are much lower than before-- this month is only 0.17 points higher than last month. Microsoft's Microsoft SQL Server is doing well, with the highest growth score in the rankings, up 12.23 points from last month, followed by MongoDB and Oracle, with 6.10 and 5.61 points, respectively. And MongoDB has maintained a considerable growth trend in the past year.

Two of the top 10 databases fell in the rankings compared with the previous month-Redis and SQLite,Redis were pushed down to eighth place by Elasticsearch, while SQLite was pushed down to 11th place by Cassandra.

But if you compare it with this time last year, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM Db2 scores are all lower than last year, especially Microsoft SQL Server and IBM Db2. Compared with last year, the scores of PostgreSQL and MongoDB increased by 77.99 and 65.96 respectively, which also reflected their increasing popularity.
