WPF is a. NET Core UI framework for building Windows desktop applications. Ownership of WPF has recently been transferred to our team (the team that develops ecosystems and platforms under Windows). This shift keeps the cross-UI framework (i.e. WinUI and WPF) consistent and future-ready as new technology trends and devices roll out in the industry.

The road map below represents NET Core WPF's development plan for 2020 and 2021. It will continue to evolve based on market changes and customer feedback, so please note that the plans outlined here are not exhaustive or guaranteed.
