In actual operation, Controller runs tasks assigned to each Load generator, and also monitors the performance of each node of the software system online, and collects the result data to provide to LoadRunner's Analysis.

①Load generator: PC, to use the resources of each PC, such as a virtual machine can simulate the number of users for 1000 people, if you want to test 5000 people online, you can connect other PCs, enter their IP address.

In Controller, click "Add" in Load Generators of Scenario Scripts, enter IP address; then click load generator in toolbar, click connect to connect, and you can use the resources of this physical machine. (The new physics machine has load generator software)

Load generator, popularly speaking, is the "subordinate" of controller, Controller sends commands, Load generator is responsible for implementation. Usually after installing LoadRunner on a machine, the Load generator is automatically installed, and a Controller can control the Load generator on the polymorphic machine, so that they agree to obey the command and complete the task together.

In the load generator, we know that the Controller can issue commands to it, and each physical machine can hear it, so we use the agent program, so we have to start the program.

③ When doing online testing, the online machine must meet two conditions:

1) Install the load generator

2) Start agent: All programs->HP LoadRunner->Advanced Settings->LoadRunner Agent Process

3. Result analyzer (analysis): generate test report

When you open Controller as an administrator, Select Scenario Type.

Manual Scenario Type (create Vuser groups, specify the scripts, load generators, number of Vusers)

-Use the Percentage mode...: Defines the total number of virtual users, assigning a percentage of virtual users to each script. For example: the total number of virtual users is 20, there are two scripts 001_login 40% and 002_lookFlight 60%(if you modify one of the proportions, the other proportion will automatically 1-this proportion)
