Microsoft announced plans to change the way customers access security updates. Instead of providing security updates on the Microsoft security bulletin site, create a new portal that publishes all security vulnerability information. The site is called the Security Update Guide, where URL points to the MSRC portal. Over the years, Microsoft has made a lot of improvements to security updates. They become more reliable, cause fewer crashes, and do not force users to restart their computers immediately.

The Security updates Guide Portal allows you to easily find security updates. You can search for updates based on scope, product, severity and impact. You can also search by Knowledgebase (KB) article number or CVE number.

For example, you can select Adobe from all product categories to display security updates for Adobe Flash Player, and Adobe Flash Player is one of the well-known software that takes advantage of its victims. From the list, you can click details, security, or influence to add other columns to the list. I added a security column that shows that these updates are rated as "critical."

You can also customize the search based on importance, medium or low factors.

If you want to download a list of these security updates, including date, knowledge base article number, product, platform, etc., you can click the download link next to the Excel icon. This allows you to download a list that is displayed on the screen in CSV format. For example, if you select the severity or influence button at the top of the list, the column will be included in the downloaded CSV file.
