1. Set deletion before entering sqlplus

Before entering sqlplus, execute the following command on the current terminal: stty erase'^ H'.

Stty: modify terminal parameters. If you don't want to type this command every time you enter the terminal, add this command to the current user's .profile.

This command means to use the BackSpace key as the delete key.
