Shulou(Shulou.com)05/31 Report--

In a seemingly strange development, Galaxy phone users around the world received mysterious notifications from Samsung's Find My Phone app. Multiple user reported reminders only display "1" with a "1" below. Hours after the incident, Samsung said the message was sent unintentionally during internal testing.

Our own executive editor, Dietborn, received this notification on his Galaxy Z Flip and is testing it for review. Clicking on the alert seems to close the notification bar.

Samsung's Find My Phone service allows owners of Samsung devices to remotely locate or lock their smartphones or tablets, back up data stored on the device to SanNebula, delete local data, and block access to Samsung Pay. No wonder some galaxy owners are scared.

Have you noticed that my phone notifications are giving me a heart attack?

Alas, I received a strange "find your phone" notification. My ass clicked, nothing happened, but now I'm laying low.

Samsung isn't the first company to send strange notifications to a wide audience. Last year, Yi Jia accidentally bombed users with random codes and Chinese characters, proving that the software update failed.

About three hours after sending the error message, Samsung addressed the issue on Twitter's official UK support channel. It calls the "Find My Phone" message an "unintentional error during internal testing." Samsung says it won't have any impact on devices that receive it.

Recently, a notification about "Found My Phone 1" appeared on a limited number of Galaxy devices. This was inadvertently sent during internal testing and has no impact on your equipment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers. low frequency

The Verge has contacted Samsung for more information about what is behind today's mystery alert and what steps are being taken to prevent this issue from happening again in the future.
