Part of the problem with a large number of open tabs is that it's hard to tell which one it is at a glance. The vertical tab solves this problem by moving the tab to the left column, which expands when you hover over the left column.

So you don't have to worry about the label text being squeezed out. By clicking the button in the upper-left corner of the browser window, users will be able to switch between horizontal and vertical layouts, so they can switch between layouts immediately. 3354 for example, switching to a vertical layout can help you quickly clean up tags without worrying about closing labels that need to be kept open.

It's a small change, but it turns out to be very useful. However, it takes a while for all marginal users to come online. As Microsoft said, it is expected to enter the Insider channel in the coming months.
