Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is already a top-level GPU. At a cost of about $2000 and a power consumption of more than 450W, this is not a card that can be squeezed into a compact chassis. Some of Nvidia's partners are creative enough to create something more unique.

Galax even wants to stand out from its competitors, so it is preparing a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti version of Nvidia. The Galax RTX 3090Ti OC LAB version features an enhanced voltage regulator module and two 12-pin power connectors as well as a pre-installed custom water cooling head.

To provide enough power to Nvidia's mature GA102 GPU and its 24GB GDDR6X memory, Galax installs a 24-inch 4-phase VRM and two 12-pin power connectors that can theoretically provide up to 1200W of power (depending of course on the card's functionality based on pictures posted by the overclocking player Duck OC (via VideoCardz), BIOS and the PSU that powers it. Specifically, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti design uses 18-pin 3-phase power and obtains external power from a 12-pin connector or three 8-pin connectors that provide approximately 450W of power.

The GeForce RTX Ti Hall of Fame OC Lab Edition graphics card uses a white printed circuit board with various connectors to connect to voltage monitoring tools.

Air coolers may not be the best choice for graphics cards that can consume up to 1200W of power (in a short period of time and under very high loads), so Galax intends to equip its GeForce RTX Ti Hall of Fame OC Lab Edition with custom water blocks from its OC lab division.

But it is not enough to have powerful graphics cards and cooling systems to create overclocking records, which is why Galax provides custom XOC BIOS for GeForce RTX Ti Hall of Fame OC Lab Edition motherboards, which can increase GPU and memory voltage to unprecedented values. To take advantage of this BIOS, you need to use unconventional cooling methods, such as liquid nitrogen or liquid helium. Such methods cannot be used in real-world applications, but for extreme overclocking and recording, they are exactly what doctors require.
