After the analysis of our engineers, the following transformation scheme is adopted:

Replace the five existing routers with one WSG-500E.

Purchase another Huawei S5700 as the core switch and divide the departments into different VLAN.

The WSG-500E has six gigabit ports, which happens to connect five external lines to the WSG-500E. The LAN port is connected to the layer 3 switch.

Assign a VLAN to each department on the S5700.

3. WSG related configuration

As the user is plagued by bandwidth problems, the configuration of diversion policy and priority is focused on in the configuration of WSG. The main contents are as follows:

Multi-line diversion is carried out according to departments, and each department takes its own line.

The bandwidth of R & D department and finance department is preferred.

To sum up: after the above transformation, employees generally report that the network speed is very fast, there are no previous network problems, and the transformation is still very successful. The only problem is that layer 3 switches only play the function of VLAN division here, which is actually a bit wasteful, and it is more economical to replace it with a layer 2 switch that supports VLAN division.
