The report also points out that the price of the 1TB PS5 is 69800 yen ($638), while the more expensive 2TB PS5 model (which will also have a GPU that can handle ray tracing technology) will be more expensive, at 109800 yen ($1003). At present, the source of these details is not clear, but Sony rejected another blog.

A Sony spokesman said in an interview with Famitsu that the content posted on GamerGate was not an official statement. This person also generally refuses to comment on rumors and speculation. But it is still interesting that the information provided by other blogs designated by Sony is not an official announcement. Interestingly, it is not clear what Sony denied. Is the information in the report completely inaccurate or partially inaccurate?

Taking all this into consideration, the pre-order in March 2020 may make sense for the company, especially the rumors that Sany will release the details of the PS5 release in mid-February. Attracting user interest with pre-orders can help Sony better prepare for the 2020 holiday conference.

As for the price, Sony hinted in its previous comments that the reasonable price of the PS5 was a factor in considering buying a new game console, suggesting it might be cheaper than expected. Sony also said it hopes to upgrade more PS4 users to the new PlayStation as soon as possible, and price will be a key factor in this pursuit.

PS5's hardware will be more advanced than its predecessor, so any price increase compared with PS4's current price is guaranteed. We are looking for the next generation of custom processors and GPUs for console and fast solid state drives. Buying these components separately can be very expensive, so it's not surprising for Sony to sell PS5 at cost in the first place.

Although Microsoft expects to launch two Xbox Series X versions next year, Sony may not launch Pro consoles in stores for several years. In addition, it is surprising that Sony has limited its more powerful GPU options to the more expensive PS5 version.
