Editor to share with you whether bootstrap belongs to a software, I believe most people do not know much about it, so share this article for your reference, I hope you can learn a lot after reading this article, let's go to know it!
Bootstrap is an open source software that can be found on GitHub. Bootstrap is a set of open source front ends for website and web application development (the so-called "front end" refers to the interface presented to the end user. The corresponding "back end" is the code running on the server) frameworks, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks, provide font printing, forms, buttons, navigation and various other components and Javascript extensions, designed to make the development of dynamic web pages and Web applications easier.
Bootstrap, formerly known as Twitter Blueprint, was written by Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton of Twitter, and was intended to create a set of tools and frameworks that can maintain consistency. Before Bootstrap, the development interface needed to use different code bases, which could easily lead to inconsistencies, thus increasing the burden of maintenance.
Mark Otto, the Twitter developer, said:
"I worked with several developers to design and create a new tool for internal use, and then we found an opportunity to do more. Since then, we found that the tool we designed was stronger than others. A few months later, we made a prototype of Bootstrap, sharing documents, designs and resources within the company."
After a few months of effort by a team, many Twitter developers began to participate as part of Hack Week (a week similar to hackathon, which is popular among Twitter developers).
Twitter Blueprint was renamed Bootstrap and released as an open source project on August 19th, 2011. Since then, the project has continued to be maintained by Mark Otto, Jacob Thornton and a core development team, as well as numerous contributors from the community.
On January 31, 2012, Bootstrap 2 was released. Twelve columns of grid layout and responsive components have been added to this version, and many components have been modified. Bootstrap 3, released on August 19, 2013, began to prioritize mobile devices as a policy, and began to use flat design.
On April 23rd, Mark Otto announced that it was developing Bootstrap 4. The first alpha version of Bootstrap 4 was deployed on August 19th, 2015.
