Apple Apple Music can match and synchronize purchased iTunes music, which is a very useful feature for users. But compared with the iTunes Match tool, the accuracy of this feature is not high. Fortunately, Apple is aware of the problem and is about to come up with a solution.

According to reports, Apple is about to release an upgrade to Apple Music that allows it to use iTunes Match audio fingerprints to handle the synchronization of songs that users have purchased. Before that, Apple Music used the original file matching method, which was not accurate. In practical use, it often matches the wrong version of the song, such as matching the live version to the studio version. After the upgrade, this problem will no longer exist, and the previously mismatched songs will be replaced by the correct version, but the downloaded files will not be deleted.

Obviously, this function of Apple Music is very similar to Apple's iTunes Match service. The latter, launched last year, allows users to sync their music libraries to the cloud and match albums and songs through iTunes in the process. But the service costs $24.99 a year and can only match a maximum of 100000 songs. For Apple Music users, there is no extra charge for this feature.
