Boot directory erroneous deletion repair

1. Insert the CD and enter the rescue mode. Finally, start a shell process.

First create a temporary directory to mount the CD image

Kernel package in the installation CD image using rpm-ivh

2. After the kernel package is installed, check the boot in the root directory again and there will be some kernel files. Indicates that the kernel is installed successfully

3. After the kernel is installed successfully, there is no grub directory or startup menu. Then use grub-install to repair the grub directory

4. After repairing the grub directory, if you look at the grub directory again, many files will indicate that the directory has been repaired successfully. But there is no grub.conf menu file, so you can edit one manually. Use vi / boot/grub/grub.conf

5. The following is the content of the grub.conf configuration file.

At this point, both the boot directory and grub have been repaired successfully
