The steps of installing Window7 and CentOS7 dual system on USB disk

Steps:

First, install the Win7 system

Note:

After installation, a certain amount of disk space is not partitioned, which is used to install Linux system.

The first partition of the disk needs to be reserved for the linux system, that is, a piece of unpartitioned space needs to be reserved before disk C, and the size is not less than 200MB.

Second, reinstall the Linux system

Note:

When setting the disk partition, / boot partition is set to the partition size reserved in front of disk C, and the installation software automatically sets / boot as the primary partition and installs it in the first block of space.

Add the startup item of win7 to the grub startup item of liunx (network is required)

Note:

After installing the Linux system, when starting the host, only the linux startup item Windows startup item will be lost, and then use linux's grub to load the Windows startup item

Tools:

Two USB drives: one with winPE for installing win7 system and the other for installing linux system

Zoning tool: partition assistant in winPE

UltraISO: used to make Linux image files into USB flash drive

Detailed work:

1. Enter the WinPE USB disk system and use the partition assistant to plan the hard disk partition

Recommended partition: C reserved before disk > unallocated space of 200MB

Except for disk C, the space of win7 is logically partitioned.

Outside the win7 system, the disk space left is given to the Linux system, and no partition is allocated

two。 Install Win7 system with PE of windows on USB disk

3. Install the UltraISO software in the win7 system to make the Linux image to the USB disk

Boot-> write to the hard disk image

4. Insert the finished linuxU disk into the computer and start the F12 USB disk.

5. Install the Linux system

6. The installed Liunx system can be accessed directly, but there is no win7 in the startup list.

Note: if only a single system (linux) is installed, then only steps 3-5 can be performed.

7. Enter the linux system and add the startup items of windows to the grub

First modify the configuration file of grub: / boot/grub2/grub.cfg

Add in the next line # BEGIN / etc/grub.d/30...###

Menuentry "Windows7 (loader) (on/dev/sda1)" {

Insmod ntfs

Set root= (hd0,1)

Chainloader + 1

}

Install the required software and read the configured grub.cfs file:

Yum-y install epel-release

Yum-y install netf-3g / / used to identify the NTFS file system

Grub2-mkconfig-o / boot/grub2/grub.cfg

/ / read the configuration file and read the windows startup item into grub

/ / Note, the command is: grub2-mkconfig

8. Restart and you can see both win7 and linux in the startup list.
