This tutorial mainly introduces how to transfer PaloAlto 8.0.5 to EVE-NG in OVA format.

1. Prepare for work FTP tool: WinSCP or FileZilla

Extract PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5.OVA (there will be files in vmdk format after decompression) root@eve:/opt/img/PA-OVA# tar xf PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5.ovaroot@eve:/opt/img/PA-OVA# lsPA-VM-ESX-8.0.5-disk1.vmdk PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5.mf PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5.ova PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5 .ovf2.2 convert VMDK format to qcow2 format root@eve:/opt/img/PA-OVA#/opt/qemu/bin/qemu-img convert-f vmdk-O qcow2 PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5-disk1.vmdk PA8.0.5.qcow2root@eve:/opt/img/PA-OVA# lsPA8.0.5.qcow2 PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5-disk1.vmdk PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5.mf PA-VM-ESX-8 .0.5.ova PA-VM-ESX-8.0.5.ovf2.3 creates a folder for PA devices under the EVE img folder And move the qcow2 file you just generated to this directory
