Installation of virtual machine

1. For the download link address, please refer to:

Https://download3.vmware.com/software/wkst/file/VMware-workstation-full-12.5.7-5813279.exe

2. Detailed installation steps:

(1) in the configuration type option, we select Custom (Advanced), and then click "next".

(2) on the hardware compatibility settings page of the virtual machine, refer to the figure below and click "next".

(3) in the install client operating system interface, we select the last "install the operating system later" (see figure 3-1), and then click next to select "Linux" in the client operating system (see figure 3-2).

(4) name the virtual machine, as shown in figure 4-1 below (name as you like), and click "next" to configure the processor. See figure 4-2

(5) set the memory of the virtual machine, as shown in the following figure

(6) there are four types of network connection. Select "use Bridge to connect the network" among the four types of network connection, and click "next".

(7) SCSI controller type can be selected by selecting the recommended type of LSI Logic

(8) the recommended SCSI is also selected for disk type

(9) Select to create a new virtual disk (figure 9-1), and click next to set the disk capacity. For more information, please see figure 9-2.

(11) after completing the setup according to the above steps, click "finish" in the following figure, and the virtual machine has been successfully installed.
